Flying Irish's 3nd Annual "Back to School" Feis September 21, 2013 Adjudicators: Mary-Sarah O'Hanlon, Kerrilee DeHart Save the date! The Flying Irish Feis is an Open Platform event, welcoming to dancers of all, or no, affiliations. Students at North American Irish Dance Federation events compete against a standard (dancers must score 80 or above in each dance to move up) rather than against other competitors, fostering a fun and friendly atmosphere. Download the NAIDF Scoring paper for a breakdown of how dancers are judged and what is expected at each level. Garment racks will be provided for costume & shoe sales. Help your outgrown dancewear find new homes!
Adjudicator's Workshop Adjudicators: Mary-Sarah O'Hanlon, Sharon Sitdham Location: Flying Irish Studio, Ashby, MA (15-20 minutes from feis venue) Date: Saturday, June 22, 2013 Price: $45 (sign up through FeisKeeper when you register for the feis) Schedule: Beginner/Advanced Beginner/ Intermediate 10 am -12:30 pm Novice 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm Prizewinner/Champion 3:00 - 5:30 pm Adjudicators will watch steps and offer feedback so dancers know what to work on to improve their competitive scores. This is not a workshop of tons of drills--dancers will still be able to perform their best in Sunday's competition (we won't wear them out!). Dancers & their families get discounted admission to the Coco Keys Water Resort during the weekend of the feis so families can relax at the water park while their dancer is attending the workshop.
